Bad news broke earlier today for jerk chicken and roti fans across Toronto. Riverside's The Real Jerk Restaurant, which has been around for more than 25 years (at its current location for 22 of them), announced that it's closing its doors at the end of the month.
The building was unexpectedly been sold on Dec 30, 2011 and the new owner has issued an order to move as of Jan 31, 2012.
This is definitely a staple for caribbean food in the city so I will definitely have to get a final plate before it closes.
